Text Message Terms
What Covr texts you about, how often, and how to stop.
Last updated September 22, 2026
The short version
Covr texts you about a claim you filed, and nothing else. No marketing, no offers, no messages about orders you did not claim on. Reply STOP at any time to end it. Message and data rates may apply.
Who sends these messages
Pay Tech Payments LLC, trading as Covr — the package protection on the order you bought from an online store. Messages come from Covr, not from the store.
How you join
You join by agreeing when you file a claim. There are two checkboxes on the claim form — one agreeing to the texts, one agreeing to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy — and both have to be ticked before we will text you. Neither is ticked for you, ticking one does not tick the other, and the claim is filed whether or not you tick either.
Agreeing to texts is never a condition of buying anything, of being covered, or of having a claim paid. It exists because a claim decision reaching you a day sooner is worth something, and email is not always read.
What we send, and how often
Every message is a consequence of a claim you filed yourself, so there is no schedule and no campaign — a claim that moves generates a message, and a claim that does not, does not. In practice that is a handful of messages over the life of a claim, and none at all once it is settled.
- We received your claim.
- We need one more thing from you before we can decide it.
- Your claim was approved, or declined — with a link to the decision.
- Your claim is settled — your replacement is on its way, or your refund is issued.
A text is a heads-up and a link, not the decision itself. The full wording — an approval amount, the reason a claim was declined, what an adjuster needs from you — is on the claim page the text links to, and in the email we send at the same time.
We do not text you about shipping or delivery. Your store sends those, and they are separate from Covr.
Stopping, and getting help
- Reply STOP to any message to stop all texts from Covr. It takes effect immediately, we will send one confirmation and then nothing further, and your claim carries on by email exactly as before.
- Reply HELP for help, or write to support@covrprotection.com — a real mailbox, answered by a person.
- To start again after stopping, reply START to the number our messages came from. Ticking the box on a new claim will not do it: once you reply STOP the block is held by your carrier as well as by us, and only a message from the same phone lifts it.
Costs
Message and data rates may apply. Covr does not charge you for text messages; your mobile carrier may, according to your plan.
Carriers and delivery
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported on major US carriers. A message can fail for reasons outside anyone’s control, which is why every message we send by text we also send by email — the email is the record.
Your number
Your mobile information and your agreement to be texted are never shared with or sold to third parties or lead generators for marketing or promotional purposes. The full detail is in our Privacy Policy, and the rest of the agreement is in our Terms of Service.
