What Covr collects, why it collects it, who sees it, and what never leaves.

Who we are
Covr is package protection sold by online stores at checkout. When a shopper adds protection to an order, Covr covers that parcel if it is lost, stolen, or damaged in transit, and handles the claim directly. This policy is published by Pay Tech Payments LLC, 303 South Water Street, Ste 200, Henderson, NV 89015.
Two kinds of people are described here. Shoppers are customers of a store that offers Covr. Merchants are the stores themselves. Where a rule applies to only one, it says so.
What we collect, and where it comes from
Almost nothing here is typed into Covr by a shopper. It arrives from the store when an order is placed, which is the point: protection has to know what it is protecting.
- Order details — order number, what was ordered, the amounts, and whether protection was purchased.
- Contact details — the email address, and where a store sends one, the phone number used for the order.
- Delivery details — the shipping address and the carrier tracking for the parcel, including the scans that say where it went.
- Claim details — what a shopper tells us when they file a claim, anything they send us afterwards, and the decision we reach.
- Address verification results — when a store uses our address checking, we keep what the verification said about an address, because it is often the evidence that explains what happened to a parcel.
What we do with it
- Decide whether a parcel is covered, and settle claims on it.
- Tell a shopper what is happening with a claim they filed.
- Show a store its own orders, claims, and what it owes or is owed.
- Detect patterns that indicate fraud, so honest claims can be paid quickly.
- Meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it to advertise to anyone.
Text messages: what we never do with your number
Mobile information and SMS consent are never shared with or sold to third parties or lead generators for marketing or promotional purposes. Your phone number and the fact that you agreed to be texted are used for one thing: sending you messages about a claim you filed.
The only party we hand a phone number to is the messaging provider that delivers the message on our behalf, and only in order to deliver it. No advertiser, data broker, or lead generator receives it, and a store does not receive your consent to be texted — that agreement is between you and Covr.
Texting is optional and always has been. You choose it when you file a claim, you can stop it by replying STOP to any message, and the claim proceeds by email either way.
Who else sees your information
Two kinds of sharing happen, and they are different. We describe both rather than promising neither.
- The store you bought from. A store sees the orders, parcels, and claims belonging to its own customers — including the claim you filed and how it was settled. It sees nothing about any other store’s customers. This is how a store can help you when you contact them instead of us.
- Service providers that operate Covr. Hosting, our database, email delivery, text message delivery, payment processing, and address verification. Each is given only what it needs to do its part, is bound to use it for nothing else, and none of them is permitted to sell it.
- Carriers and law. Shipping carriers, in the course of tracing a parcel; and anyone we are legally required to tell.
How long we keep it
Order and claim records are kept while they are needed to run protection and to meet our tax and accounting obligations — a claim we paid is a financial record, and those are kept for as long as the law requires. A request to stop being texted is kept permanently, on purpose: forgetting that you asked us to stop would let us start again.
Your choices
- Stop text messages — reply STOP to any message. This takes effect immediately and does not affect your claim.
- Ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete what we are not required to keep. Write to support@covrprotection.com.
- Ask the store instead. If your question is about the order rather than the claim, the store holds that relationship and can usually answer faster.
Children
Covr is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. Protection is bought by whoever places the order.
Changes, and how to reach us
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we change the date at the top and post the new version here. Questions about any of it go to support@covrprotection.com.
